I just got home from an evening working with the doctors in the Pediatric ER. I was there from 5pm-10pm... it was pretty interesting- saw a kid with an "emergency" diaper rash :), one that swallowed some food and it got stuck in his throat (we gave him medicine to help it move down...and it moved up and out!), and a lumbar puncture in a little baby--among other things. I spent the morning in the clinic at North Greenville and the afternoon in the clinic near the hospital... nothing too exciting.
Now, I am home have finished grinding the coffee and setting the coffee pot so I can awake to the smell of coffee in the morning! Surprisingly, I have been waking up before my alarm recently. Probably because I have been waking up at the same time every morning for the past 3 weeks or so... it is so nice to have a regular schedule. That will all change next week when I start taking overnight call in the hospital again. I am NOT looking forward to the hard, plastic covered beds and pillows with thin blankets and doors slamming all night. :) Oh well, I probably won't have much of a chance to sleep anyway.... which is why I am going to bed now. Carpe the night!!!
