School begins.

Well, I have orientation tomorrow. I have to leave here bright and early- 5:30 am. So, I am going to head to bed! Have a good evening.

Trying to arrange our furniture...

Step 1: Washing and Sanding

Here is some of the "new" furniture I got at thrift stores. A desk ($5)and a dresser ($30)... now I am in the process of transforming them into presentable pieces of furniture.

My new bed frame (the one I picked up from the side of the road for free!). I painted it today and put it together. Now, I don't have to sleep on the futon any more!

Yes, our house is still a mess. I had to move all of the stuff out of my room into the livingroom to clean my carpet! Hopefully we will get things all organized, cleaned up, and situated soon!

Well, we all made it home safely after our lovely 22nd reunion in NYC and DC. It was a blast, we had a lot of fun hanging out and checking out the sights! (L->R Mandy, Laura, and me)

Laura, Mandy, and I on vacation in NYC!!! We are having lots of fun, NY was awesome. Really, really busy and tons of fun. We are now in DC checking out all the sights and museums!

Yes, it has been quite a long time since I have posted! And, this time, it wasn't because there isn't anything happening. :) Quite a lot has.

Friday, June 10 -Step1 of the USMLE boards- 7:30am- 3:30pm

Lets just say it was tough. Actually, it seemed EXTREMELY DIFFICULT!!!! ... but that is what I expected. The test was 7 hours long (7 blocks of 50 questions each) and I took 1 hour of break, so I ended up being at the testing center from 7:30-3:30. It was a very long day... my brain has still not recovered. By the end, I couldn't remember which of my hands was right and which was left! :) I just hope I passed, but I won't know if I did for about 6 more weeks. Torture.

Friday, June 10- Post-boards

As soon as I got home, I started packing... and packing... and packing. I hadn't packed much at all.... so it took quite some effort to get all my stuff into a moveable condition! We took a break to celebrate and went out to dinner at California Dreaming!! It was delicious. Then, Jen helped me get the rest of my junk in boxes and I was mostly finished around 11pm. Then, it was time to tackle my huge, pink, moldy shower. I grabbed the bleach and got to work with a toothbrush turning all the mold to a magical white!!! Two hours later, with my eyes burning, nose running, and throat burning I called the shower 'good' and headed to bed... tired and exhausted.

Saturday, June 11 Moving Day 8:00 am
Started out the morning right with some coffee from Dunkin' Donuts (thanks, Jen :) ). Then, got back to work packing things up. I got the turtle all situated in his carrying case, cleaned out his tank, and gathered all my stuff that was stored outside. Then, I finished cleaning the bathroom and put a few last things in boxes. I filled my car trunk with books, and took my plants out to my car. Then, Miranda and her family arrived with the U-Haul and we hauled box after box after box to the U-Haul where Miranda's cousin packed it all in. 3 hours later... and it didn't all fit! But, after putting a few things in Amanda's U-Haul, we were all packed up... we swept the bunnies out of the house and got on our way to Greenville!

4 pm We arrived in Greenville at our new house! and started unpacking... we just hauled everything into the house as fast as we could... not organized at all. By the time we were through you could barely walk through the house! But, we were done!

Around 7 pm,

Miranda's family left and Miranda, Tiffany, and I headed over to Jen's house for the evening after stopping at Jack in the Box to grab some food. We got to Jen's house around 8 pm- completely exhausted... Miranda and I took showers and we hung out for awhile talking. Then, we headed back to our new house for our first night. Unfortunately, the air conditioner wasn't working so it was a little warm... but all in all

it was a good night and it felt wonderful to be in bed!

Sunday, June 12

Jen and Miranda left for the beach this morning on vacation. First thing, I tried the shower, but the water was COLD. I guess the hot water heater isn't working, either... so instead, I headed to Wal-mart to buy a coffee grinder and the Sunday paper. I got back to the house and made some coffee and read the paper. Then, I spent the afternoon organizing boxes in the house... Tiffany came over to help. Then, we went to her apartment and I took a shower. I went to church with her and helped in the nursery. Then, we went back to her house and watched a movie and talked. It was fun. Then, I crashed on the couch!

Monday, June 13

I spent today running errands and organizing stuff some more... trying to get ready to head to DC tomorrow to pick up Mandy and Laura for our vacation! So, I will not be posting for awhile... but when I get back we should have internet at our house and I will keep you updated... and I can post pictures from my vacation with my new digital camera as soon as I figure out how to use it!!! Now, I have to get directions to DC and finish up some stuff on my computer before heading home to finish packing!

Only 4 days left to study... and I have so much left to review. Its scary... but all I can do is keep studying and cramming information in my brain. Ok, I gotta go study! 

I'm spending my Saturday studying Pathology and Pharmacology... wish I were shopping! :)

Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

The backyard... a month ago. When we visited yesterday it looked like a jungle... There were 10ft tall bamboo stalks in the middle of the yard!!! I guess we'll have quite a bit of yardwork to do in a few weeks. Gotta get that lawnmower fixed!!!

Here is our new house in Greenville, Miranda and I signed the lease yesterday so it is officially ours for the next two years! So cute! :)
