Craigdarroch Castle

This "castle" is, I think, the largest collection of stained glass in North America. The stained glass was really beautiful... and the castle was huge. But, the story that went with it was terrible...this guy was a multi-millionare back in the day, and built his huge house while selling oil the people couldn't afford. Sad. And, all his kids turned out to be VERY messed up. He died before the house was finished.

We stopped by the government house garden on our long walk to find the castle we were going to tour. Turned out to be a beautiful garden.

we all crawled into our cozy tent after a VERY long day!

Cheese sandwiches and tomato soup- doesn't sound too complicated...

Then...the propane stove leaked, the fire pit didn't have a grill to set the griddle on, and, to top it all off, no can opener! But, with some precarious balancing and a little bit of axe action... we created some dinner.

Having fun so far- but ready for bed!
